Obituary

Alice Faye Caulder Kirkwood, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 13, 2023, in Greensboro, NC. Born on September 23, 1957, in Durham, NC, Alice lived a vibrant life filled with love and laughter. She was a social butterfly, and to know her was to love her.
Alice had a zest for life, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature. She cherished every moment she could spend with her beloved dogs, Lacy and Hoss. They were not just pets to her, but cherished companions who brought constant joy to her life.
Alice’s family meant the world to her, and she adored her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Hunt-Walker (Kirk Walker), her son Derek Hunt, as well as her grandchildren Shay Walker, Max Walker, and Shane Hunt. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Gianni Porter and Ivy Walker.
In addition to her immediate family, Alice is survived by her sister Bonita Hunt and her mother Mary Caulder Hill. She was preceded in death by her grandson Triston Walker, great-granddaughter Isla Mclaughlin, brother Tony Caulder, father A.L. Caulder, and grandparents Noah and Molly Caulder, and Raymond and Nancy Cotner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Terry Kirkwood.
Alice’s warm and loving nature touched the lives of countless cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and extended family members. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 4:00 PM in the Triad Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel located at 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place starting at 3:00 PM, giving friends and loved ones the opportunity to pay their respects.
Alice Faye Caulder Kirkwood leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Her infectious spirit and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will forever be cherished in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
