Obituary

Angela B. Brown, aka “Angie Bee”, age 52 and did not look it, passed away on April 30th, 2023, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

She was born on March 24th, 1971, in Guilford County, NC. She was the eldest daughter of late parents, Debra Ann Brown and Anthony McCulley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late loved ones.

Angela was the sweetest “sweet pea”, and the smartest and most beautiful person inside and out. She knew everything and always had an answer to your question. She was the definition of ride or die and was the best listener. Despite her daily pain from dealing with Sickle Cell Anemia, she was always going to be the most positive person in the room, making sure her loved ones were happy. She was everyone’s BACKBONE! From a lifetime of pain and sacrifices, she managed to graduate high school early and made her way to “The Big Apple”, New York City, and applied for two jobs and two schools and was accepted for everything. She graduated and became a certified cosmetologist for the love of hair and being encouraging while doing so. Angela was the BEST cook. She started cooking as a little girl and it only got better with every meal she cooked. Angela’s love and aura would make you want to be around her 24/7. She was the most caring mother, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend.

Left to cherish and appreciate her memory are her children, DaShawn “Dee” Walden (24) and DaShaunna “Daviane” Walden (21); Siblings, Warren Brown, Latasha Rice, Larry Cole, and Angel Cole; Nieces and Nephews, Toreon Rice, Ty’Shaun Miller, Jai’Anna Cole, Bailey Cole, Charli Cole, Ari’Yona Cole, and Larry Cole Jr.; Cousins, Courtney Brown, YaAsia Brown, Anthony Brown Able, etc. Aunt Beverly Brown, Uncle Wilbert Brown; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro, NC 27407.
