Betty Taylor

Obituary

Betty Rumley Taylor, of Greensboro NC, peacefully passed away at her
home, surrounded by her loving family, on July 15, 2023.

Betty was proud to be the first in her family to graduate High School.
She had numerous obstacles to overcome, but never wavered in her
determination to earn her diploma. She then worked at and retired
from Lorillard after 34 years.

Betty valued family and always put our needs and happiness above all
else. She and her husband “Dock” Taylor were married 44 years until
his passing. She was an amazingly wonderful Mother, Grandmother,
and Great-Grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and
cooking. In recent years, she became an avid board game player that
thoroughly enjoyed beating all who played against her.

Betty has joined her parents, her seven siblings, her husband and their
three sons on the final journey home. She is survived by her daughters
Sandra and Robin, her daughter-in-law Lynn, her Grandson Scott, and
her Great-Grandchildren Brandon and Alexis.

Betty was a wonderfully sweet woman who will be missed daily by her
loved ones.
