Obituary

Charles Scotty Douglas was born on March 29, 1950, to the union of Charles Gilmore & Martha Connor in York, South Carolina.  He received his formal education at Second Ward High School and Elizabeth City State University.                                                                                                              

Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and rededicated his life at the age of 60.  Charles was united in holy matrimony eith Dorothy Wise on August 14, 1973.  Their union was bless with two children.  Charles enjoyed life to the fullest. He took pleasure in fishing, baking, singing, watching football, people, laughing, and golfing.  More than anything, he enjoyed dancing and he loved music.  Charles was very talented.  He was a landscaper, mechanic, entrepreneur, North Carolina licensed Real Estate Agent, Insurance salesman, and worked in light industrial settings.  Charles was also a member of Omega Phi Psi Fraternity.                                                        

Charles Scotty Douglas departed this life on Sunday, September 21, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Gilmore Douglas, Jr.   He is survived by his Ex-wife, Dorothy Douglas; daughter, Sonya C. Douglas; 2 brothers, Andre Douglas, Sr., and Thomas Douglas; 4 sisters, Maryann Watson, Janice Carter, Jacqueline McKinney, and Ylvonnia Campbell; grandson Dre’Anthony C. Gant; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
