Christopher Anne Crawford Samson, 68, of Greensboro, NC, passed on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Christopher was born September 24, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA to the late James Douglas and Dolores Kaiser Crawford.

Christopher came to Greensboro to attend Guilford College where she met and married Richard E Samson. She enjoyed reading the history of the American Founding and the sources of the Constitution. She was an enthusiastic knitter with an interest in a variety of additional crafts. She loved her state’s scenic beauty, regularly traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway and making frequent trips to our Eastern shore. Christopher was a longtime member of Westover Church where she could usually be found in a front pew. With her daughter, Kate, she became involved in a local club dedicated to Japanese Anime and was a participant in the NekoCon convention, becoming a member of its managing board.

An only child, Christopher is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard E Samson, her daughter Katharine T Samson, her stepmother Judith Crawford-Dean, step-brother Ben Dean, and step-sisters Gillian Dean and Jessica .D. Russo.

A brief memorial service for her will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Road, Greensboro.
