Demi Layne Foust, 66 died in his home in Greensboro after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Brooks Taylor; his daughter Emily Foust and her daughter Clair; his daughter Virginia Smith, son-in-law Nathan Smith and their three boys, Ty, Dylan and Harrison; his daughter Mary Foust; his son Devin Wallace Foust; his son Taylor Wallace Foust and daughter-in-law Mary O. Foust; step-daughters Hazel and Mary Nelson; first wife Susan Wallace Foust and father William Eugene Foust. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Sue Anderson.
Demi was born in Greensboro, NC in 1947. He graduated from Page High School in 1965 and attended Guilford College. After a long and fulfilling career in newspaper marketing with the Greensboro Daily News and the High Point Enterprise he started a new life chapter restoring homes and becoming a NC Realtor. Demi was also an avid sports fan, race car enthusiast and had recently discovered a new love of travel.
A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday April 5th at 6:00 pm at the Elks Lodge 2201 West Cornwallis Dr. Greensboro, NC 27408. In the spirit of Demi, please dress informally. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to WUNC Public Radio.
