Douglas Anthony Marino

October 8, 1987 ~ March 12, 2014 (age 26)

Obituary

Douglas A. (Fresh) Marino, 26, of High Point, NC, was received by God at his home on March 12, 2014, after losing his battle with colon cancer.

Born on October 8, 1987 in Burlington County, New Jersey, Doug will always be forever in the hearts of his mother and father Anthony J. Marino, Jr. and Susan Marino, sister Sharon Marino, niece Grace, nephew Gabriel, brother Anthony J. Marino III, Grandmother and Grandfather, Frank and Elaine Boudinot, Grandmother and Grandfather Laurentia (TT) Marino and the late Anthony J. Marino, Sr. and Grandmother, D. Jean Boudinot, Doug (Fresh) was a family man.  He shared a love for sports and Star Trek with his father.  The love he had for his mother was the kind of love every mother should be blessed with. He adored his niece and nephew and loved them as if they were his own children.  He and his sister were the Bonnie and Clyde of the 1990’s and were not only brother and sister, but, best friends.  He was extremely proud of his brother and his musical and acting talents and was one of his biggest fans.

Doug was a Manager for Wilco Hess and had a love for income statements.  Doug’s heart always belonged to the children with cancer and the pain they are going through, not his own – he truly glorifies God.

A funeral service will be held 3:00PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Triad Cremation Society & Chapel. The family will receive visitors following the service.  In lieu of flowers, Doug and the family have requested donations be made in his name to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation at www.alexslemonade.org

Triad Cremation Society & Chapel is serving the Marino Family. Online condolences may be made at www.triadcremationsociety.com.

"God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress That is why we will not fear, though the earth undergoes change, though the mountains topple into the depths of the sea."     (Psalm 46:1,2) "But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep in death. For since  death came through a man, resurrection of the dead also comes through a man.  For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive."   (1Corinthians 15:20-22)
