Edith Hope Albert, a cherished wife, mother, and beloved member of her community, passed away on July 26, 2023, at the age of 74 following a long and courageous battle with lung disease. She was born on August 8, 1948, in Pulaski, Tennessee, and breathed her last breath in Greensboro, North Carolina, as she went home to be with the Lord.

Throughout her life, Edith left an indelible mark on those around her. Her passion for cooking led her to become the proud owner and operator of her own restaurant, where she delighted countless patrons with her culinary skills. Edith’s dedication and hard work were evident in every dish she prepared, earning her a reputation for excellence in the culinary world.

When not busy at her restaurant, Edith found solace and joy in spending time at her beach home, taking in the beauty of nature and relaxing by the shore. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family. The love and laughter shared between Edith, her husband Gregg Albert, their daughter Tammy (Mike Burroughs), and their entire extended family created memories that will be cherished forever.

Edith is preceded in death by her loving mother, father, and four siblings. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be ingrained in the hearts of her surviving family and friends. In addition to her devoted husband and daughter, Edith is survived by her sister Connie (Barry Hill), her adored grandchild Jacob Burroughs, two great-grandchildren Blake and Cadence, and numerous nieces and nephews who were blessed to have her in their lives.
