George Vincent Harkins Jr., a loving family man, passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 76. Born on January 27, 1947, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, George was the son of George Vincent Harkins Sr. and Mary Ann Savage.

George had a deep passion for reading, shooting pool, cooking, and enjoying the beach. He also found joy in agility training his beloved dog, Sable. As a member of Elk Lodge 602, George cherished the camaraderie and shared experiences with his fellow members.

Having served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, George proudly carried the title of a veteran. During his military service, he pursued higher education and graduated from Widener University in Pennsylvania.

A private celebration of George’s life will be held at a later date at the Elks Lodge, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of his life.

George Vincent Harkins Jr. will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a proud Navy veteran, and a man of many interests. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.

I'm going to miss you Vinny. I always told you I was a better pool player than you, but we all know that wasn't true. Until we play again. RIP my friend.
