Gilberto Rodriguez, age 70, of Greensboro passed away April 28, 2023 at Beacon Place Hospice House.

He was born July 8, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Analido Rodriguez and Luz Nereida Matos Rodriguez. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Armando Rodriguez.

Gilberto enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and traveling with family to the ocean. He never met a stranger, was always friendly and enjoyed making small talk with anyone along his journey. Most of all he loved his family and adored his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 32 years, Sonia Rodriguez; children, Jennifer Rodriguez (Clarissa), Jesus Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez (Jocelynn), Michael Rodriguez, and Lorrainne Rodriguez; grandchildren, Lelylanie, Joshua, Jayvean, and Jordana; brothers, Camelo Rodriguez and Rosendo Rodriguez; sisters, Nancy Rodriguez and Milagros Rodriguez; and numerous other beloved family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 3PM Thursday, May 6, 2023 at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro, NC 27407. A visitation will be held from 1 PM until 3 PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral service.
