Obituary

Glen Eric Gaither, 64, of Greensboro, passed from this world on July 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Frederick Drane Gaither and Marcella Balliet Gaither. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Kay Gordon, sister Suzanne Harrington of Hesperia, California; niece Carissa Graham, and two great-nephews, Chase Graham and Collin Graham. He adored them and they returned the feeling.

Eric was born in Pasadena, California, and lived in several areas in Southern California until moving to North Carolina in 1987. He did construction work, studied diesel and auto mechanics, and eventually became a long-haul truck driver for many years.

He was loved by all who knew him, as his joy in life was helping people and making them laugh. He took wonderful care of his wife, especially after she became disabled. He had a huge heart. His family is very grateful for the love and care shown to him by Hospice at the end of his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, August 19, 2023,  at Lake Brandt Marina, 5945 Lake Brandt Road, Greensboro, NC 27455. Refreshments and Fellowship will follow the service at 3:00 pm.
