Obituary

James Vance White Jr., age 65, of Archdale passed away April 28, 2023 at his home. 

He was born July 20, 1957 in High Point, North Carolina the son of James Vance White Sr. and Betty Duggins White. 

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.

    I knew Jay as a fellow UNCG employee. I’ve known him for seven years now and I only have good things to say about him. He was always there for us when we needed something. He never complained or had anything negative to say. I enjoyed our conversations about our equal love for dogs and nature. Every time he came to the residence he always made sure to greet the family dog. He was a vital part of the UNCG family and was at the heart of keeping it working. There will not be a day where I don’t think of Jay and the hard work he put in every day.

    "Jay" set an example for us all with his work ethic. He rarely complained, just put his shoulder to the plow and did what needed to be done. His presence will be sorely missed at UNCG.
