Obituary

GREENSBORO – Jimmy Dwight Weeks was born on July 17, 1946, to late Jimmy D. Weeks and Annie Mae Weeks in Philadelphia, PA.

Butch received his formal education at Pleasant Grove High School in Midway, NC. He furthered his education at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC.

At an early age, Butch, was united with White Oak Disciple Church.  He was employed by Guilford Mills as a supervisor for over 30 years.   In his leisure, he enjoyed all kinds of sports. He also enjoyed goodies such as, oatmeal cookies, Subway and McDonalds cookies.

Jimmy “Butch” Weeks departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2014. He was preceded in death by: three brothers, Glenn, James and Darious; two sisters, Yvonne Dubose and Vivian D. Tolson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Jimmy Weeks, Jr.; a special granddaughter, Iyanna Cook; two special children, Brandon Wallington and Terry Weeks; 4 sisters, Jackie Weeks, of Greensboro, NC, Maxine (George) Lilly, of Fayetteville, NC, Wanda (William) McCain, of Newton Grove, NC, Laura (Dwight), of Mt. Olive, NC; two brothers, Joseph (Teresa), of Matthews, NC, Calvin (Regina), of Powder Spring, GA; one special half brother, William Lilly, of Stewart, GA; three aunts, Catherine Cogdell, of Four Oaks, NC, Mamie Brooks, of Hyattsville, MD, Ruby Raynour, of Greensboro, NC; one sister-in-law, Sarah Weeks; many nieces and nephews; one special nephew, Justin Weeks; a very special family, Sam & Terry Cathey; and the entire Wallington Family.
