Obituary

John Stephen Parker Jr., age 48, of Greensboro passed away at his home on May 9, 2023.

He was born August 9, 1974 in Raleigh, North Carolina, the son of John Stephen Parker Sr. and Gayle Fowler Parker.

John graduated from Morristown Hamblen High School in Morristown, TN and later attended the University of Tennessee, and was also a member of Mensa. He loved music, played the guitar, and was a member of several local bands. Early in his career, he worked for the Music Loft as Manager, then at SE Systems, Inc. as a sales representative, and lastly at Workplace Integra. John enjoyed travel, his music, and video games. He had three cats and a bunny, whom he loved very much. He was smart, kind, compassionate, had a great sense of humor and was a devoted son and brother.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, John S. Parker Sr. and Gayle F. Parker; sister, Stephanie Parker;  aunts, Brenda Fowler Goad  and Helen Parker Gebhardt;  uncle, J.K. “Butch” Parker III and wife Jane; goddaughter Quetzalli Oviedo; friend Alicia Greene, and numerous other beloved family and friends.

A Celebration of life will be held at Castle McCulloch In Jamestown on, August the 5th 2023 at 2 P:M.  3925 Kivett Drive, Jamestown NC.
