Obituary

Joyce Elizabeth Mathis, age 93, of McLeansville passed away April 14, 2023.

She was born November 14, 1929 in Wilkes County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Frank and Ava Joines. She is also preceded in death by her eight siblings.

Joyce was an amazing cook and loved her family deeply. She was a lady of faith who loved going to church and loved the Lord. 

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Jan Blackwood and Joy Mathis; grandson, Jason Blackwood; and numerous other beloved family and friends.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
