Obituary

GREENSBORO – It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Juan Alberto Rodriguez, who passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at his home.

Juan was born in Nicaragua on October 26, 1956. Most of his life was spent in the United States surrounded by the love of his family. Juan was united in holy matrimony with Mercedes Solis on March 3, 1977, in Managua, Nicaragua. Their union was blessed with 7 children.

Juan was active throughout his life. He was a very proud man who loved his family more than anything that life had to offer him. For him, life was about being the best provider that he could be . His love for his family showed through his words and his actions.

Juan touched the lives of many with his unique sense of humor and his unprecedented, witty nature. He was a very knowledgeable man. He loved carpentry and worked as a floor installer for 15 years, until he was forced to stop due to his illness.

As a husband and father, he was strong, hardworking, loving and gentle. He loved his family.

Juan is preceded in death by his sons Francisco Solis and Christian Rodriguez; and his father Juan Alberto Rodriguez, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Mercedes; his sons, Leswin and Juan; his daughters, Jeddy, Ingrid, and Ilse; his grandson, Leswin, Jr.; his mother, Frieda Ilse Bojorge; two sisters, 2 brothers and a host of other nieces , nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2:30PM, Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Friendly Avenue Church of Chritst, 5101 West Friendly Ave. Greensboro, NC 27410; Visitation 2:00 – 2:30PM. Professional Services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.
