Kelly Kennedy
August 25, 1963 ~ July 6, 2023 (age 59)Obituary
Kelly Kennedy, our vivacious and fun-loving mother and friend, left us with heavy hearts on July 6, 2023. Always wearing a smile and radiating kindness, Kelly brought joy and laughter to everyone she encountered.
Born with a passion for customer service, Kelly found her calling as an insurance agent. She embraced her inner insurance nerd and obtained numerous designations – CIC, CISR, CBIA, CLCS, CAWC. With her extensive knowledge and dedication to her work, Kelly served her clients with unwavering commitment.
Beyond her professional life, Kelly had a vibrant array of interests that kept her always on the move. Whether it was planting flowers, singing karaoke, or uncovering hidden treasures with her metal detector, she lived life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Collecting antiques and cruising around town with the top down were among her favorite pastimes.
In the company of loved ones, Kelly’s giving nature shone bright. Survived by her son Zeke Kennedy and his wife Jenni Kennedy, her daughter Amanda Carr and her husband Cole Carr, and her five adoring grandsons Gage, Clyde, and Gunner Kennedy, and Bow and Waylon Carr, Kelly cherished every moment spent with her family. She was also engaged to be married to David Kitchen, who brought immense joy and companionship into her life.
Preceded in death by her mother, Mildred T. Davis, Kelly leaves behind her father Larry Davis and his wife Marti, as well as her sister Sandy Wheeler and her husband Keith, and her brother Jim Davis and his wife Margie. Additionally, she will be fondly remembered by her six nieces and nephews and many friends.
While we mourn the loss of our dear Kelly, let us remember her as the selfless and giving soul she was. Her genuine care for others touched countless lives, and her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date to celebrate Kelly’s life and the impact she had on those around her. In this time of grief, may we find solace in the memories we shared and the lessons she taught us about love, kindness, and living life to the fullest. Rest in peace, dear Kelly.
