Kenneth Arthur Carraway, 67, of Greensboro, NC, passed away on Monday, May 8th, 2023, at Beacon Place under Hospice care. He had spent the past four years fighting to return to his normal self but he was finally released from his suffering and pain.
Ken is survived by his daughter Brittany (Collin) Kahle, Son Andrew (Angela) Carraway, his brother Steve Carraway, and sister Kathy (Allen) Dick, He also leaves behind four grandchildren Amni, Axton, Avylynn, and James.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents Linda F. and Kenneth F. Carraway, also his sister-in-law Linda B. Carraway, and cousin Susan Shaw.
Ken attended Southeast Guilford high school, where he was a member of the 4-H club, played football, and received the highest eagle scout award. In his career, he received the Presidents Club award three times at Phoenix Contact. He was also a Christian who attended Alamance Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the choir, he was an elder who headed the nomination committee to bring in the associate pastor Jessica Rigel to the church. He helped start Dining with Dudes, a men's group that prepared meals for the church, He loved to read, be on the water, as well as saltwater fishing. The coast was his happy place and he will be returning there to rest.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 21st, 2023 at the Moose Lodge 5031 Blakeshire Road, Greensboro NC 27406. His request was no funeral attire, Bright colors or beachy shirts are welcome! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beacon Place (Authoracare Hospice)
