Obituary

   Marvin E. Edwards, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023 following a brief illness.

   He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Edwards of Randleman, his sons, Jeffrey Edwards of Greensboro, North Carolina, Joey Edwards and his wife Alyse of Greensboro, North Carolina, Christopher Edwards of Randleman, North Carolina, and Greg Luck and his wife Crystal of Troutman NC; a sister, Rose Bolick and her husband Ernest of Hickory, North Carolina, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

   Marvin is proceeded in death by his father Marvin E. Edwards, Sr. and his mother Artis Head Edwards of Greensboro, North Carolina.

   Marvin was an avid golfer, who love to play the local links and tells stories of his “hole-in-one”. He served in the US Navy for five years serving at Argentia, Newfoundland in squadron VW-13, in which he would regale many stories to friends and family of his time there. Marvin led a calm life and loved to sit back and watch his grandkids play in the front yard. He retired after many years from Lowe’s home improvement.

   A Celebration of Life will be held at his home with family and friends at a time to be determined.
