Obituary

Carolina Shores, NC – Nancy Kirchner Elvin, 71, passed away peacefully at Beacon Place Hospice in Greensboro, NC on Monday, July 14, 2014

There will be a private memorial service near her home in Carolina Shores.

Nancy was born in New Jersey on January 22, 1943 to the late Chet and Grace Kirchner. She graduated from the Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing and worked for over 30 years as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey before retiring and moving to North Carolina. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren who filled her life with love, laughter and sports.  She enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her wonderful circle of friends.

She was preceded in death her husband of 45 years, John W. Elvin, Jr. She is survived by a son, Craig Elvin, and wife, Patti Jo, of Harrisburg, PA. as well as a daughter, Cristie Gibson, and husband, Derek of Greensboro,
NC.  Additionally, she is survived by grandsons, Zach Elvin and Alex and Andrew Gibson.
