Obituary

Nora Darnell Hamilton was born on December 28, 1947 to the late Joe and Etta Darnell in Greensboro, North Carolina.

She was employed by Systel Printing for many years. In her leisure, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, friends and reading.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, God saw that his angel needed rest, and He came to take Nora Darnell Hamilton home to sweet rest. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Darnell, Sr.; her mother, Etta Darnell; her brother, Joe Darnell, Jr. and her husband, Tom Hamilton.

Nora leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: one daughter, Cherie Vaughn Benton; son – in – law, Octavious Benton; grandson, Octavious Benton, II; granddaughter, Tia Benton; two sisters, Carole Darnell and Betty Whitmire and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 6:00PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.

Memorials may be made in Nora’s memory to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405, for their loving care during Nora’s illness.
