Obituary

Patricia Ann Scales, 76, left this world April 25 th, 2023, at Whitestone Care and Wellness Eastern Star Masonic home.

She was preceded in death by husband-Robert F. Scales, son-Robert “Bobby” Scales II, father-Sidney Fortune Ozment, Mother-Ruth Marie Ozment, sister-Sharon Sue Ozment, brother-Stephen Mark Ozment, as well as beloved paternal and maternal grandparents and many other loved ones.

She is survived by her beautiful granddaughter-Kirstyn Michelle Scales and her mother- Michelle Scott Scales. As well as sisters-Alice Faye Foy and Jeanette Lynn Kirkman, Sister in-law- Kaylene Peeples, many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as countless friends.

We give honor and respect to such a good-good woman who found delight in giving to others expecting nothing in return. She was part of a group that helped tilt the world just the right way.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The Watcher

She always leaned to watch for us,
Anxious if we were late,
In winter by the window,
In summer by the gate;

And though we mocked her tenderly,
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe
Because she waited there.

Her thoughts were all so full of us,
She never could forget!
And so I think that where she is
She must be watching yet,

Waiting till we come home to her,
Anxious if we are late—
Watching from Heaven's window,
Leaning from Heaven's gate.
