Patricia Johnston Fairall (Vann), a beloved mother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on September 3, 2023, in Forsyth County, North Carolina. She was born on June 28, 1945, in DeFuniak, Florida. Patricia was 78 years old at the time of her passing.
Patricia dedicated over 30 years of her life to working at various jewelry stores at Hanes Mall. With a passion for customer service, she brightened the lives of countless individuals who sought her assistance. Her warm smile and kindhearted nature made her an exceptional presence in the workplace.
Beyond her professional life, Patricia had a deep love for bunny rabbits. Their gentle and adorable nature brought her much joy and comfort. She cherished moments spent with these furry companions, finding solace in their presence.
In 1973, Patricia made the decision to move to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she would establish her home. It was there that she embraced her role as a loving mother to her son, Gregory Johnston. Patricia’s unwavering devotion to her family was evident in the love and care she provided throughout the years. She created a nurturing environment where her son could thrive and grow.
Patricia will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Vernon Vann, her mother, Eleanor Madden, and her brother, Christopher Vann. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Gregory Johnston of Midway, NC, as well as her two brothers, Jack and Jerry Vann, and her sister, Betty Bodiford.
