Obituary

Rev. Phillip Thomas was born on February 3, 1938, to the late Harley Thomas and Mrs. Geraldine Wilson. Phillip entered into eternal rest on May 2, 2023.

He was born in Darlington, SC, and later made his home in Greensboro, NC. He was the last of eight siblings.

He loved his church family and God. As a reverend and part of the outreach ministries, he'd often speak at churches and nursing facilities. His favorite place to eat was K&W restaurant, where he was a manager for many years. After retiring from food service, he went back to his passion for auto upholstery and opened his own company Phil Auto Trim.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his children, Loretta (James) Bonaparte, Phyllistine (Jimmy) Williams of Darlington SC, Patricia (Kenneth Dubose) Herbert of Florence SC, Shanteria (Lamont) Gregg, Aries Jones,  Angela Jones, all of Greensboro, NC. Special cousins Dewitt and Larry Bruce. Fourteen grandchildren eleven grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, 2110 Servomation Road, Greensboro, NC 27407.
