Robert Vincent Stover Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 22, 2023, at the age of 78. He was born on October 12, 1944, in Camden County, New Jersey, to the late Robert Vincent Stover Sr. and Eleanor Kane.
Robert led a fulfilling life marked by hard work and a passion for various pursuits. After graduating from Lenape Highschool in 1962, he went on to attend the Philadelphia College of Art. With a wealth of knowledge and skills gained from his education, Robert embarked on a career as a Construction Worker, specializing in residential and commercial properties. His dedication and expertise were admired by colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of his professional commitments, Robert found solace and joy in his hobbies and interests. He had a green thumb and was an avid gardener, As a Jack of all trades, he demonstrated an exceptional ability to tackle various projects with skill and precision. Beyond his talents, Robert was also known for his fervent advocacy for human rights, always standing up for what he believed in.
Robert’s love for his family was immeasurable. He shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dee (Baloche) Stover, who preceded him in death. Together, they raised their daughter, Heidi (Tom) Surig of South Carolina, and welcomed a precious grandson, Calton Salzman of Nevada, into their lives. Robert was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always there to offer guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love.
In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by his sisters, Terri Stover of Virginia, Sue McCormack, and Valorie Goss, both of Tennessee. Sister-in-law, Dr. Lynda Baloche of New Jersey. He leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Robert Vincent Stover Jr. will be remembered as a devoted family man, a skilled craftsman, and a passionate advocate for justice. His impact on those whose lives he touched will forever be cherished.
