Obituary

Samuel Elliott Jr, age 72 of Liberty North Carolina passed away June 29, 2023 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Sam was born July 6, 1950 in High Point North Carolina. He is survived by his children, Kristy Teague (Mark Teague), Karen Dailey (Danny Dailey), Ryan Elliott (Katie Elliott), Heather Elliott and Natalie Elliott ( Buddy Cambron). Grandchildren, Erica Littlefield ( Justin Littlefield ), Dillon Teague, Aaron Dailey, Hailey Cambron , Dakota, Cambron, Elliott Cambron, Weston Hundley and Owen Cambron. Great grandchildren Ethan Littlefield and Colton Teague. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathy Barbour Elliott, Father, Samuel Elliott Sr and Mother, Mildred Smith Elliott. Sam was an exceptional musician who could play any instrument placed in front of him. He had a love for music. Frankie Valli being his favorite performer. In his younger years, he hung drywall and retired from the truck driving industry. He was a jack of all trades that couldn’t sit still. Following his retirement he went on to drive tour buses. He never met a stranger. He had the best jokes that kept us laughing. If he wasn’t picking on you, he didn’t like you.  Sam enjoyed camping with his family and attending SOS at Myrtle Beach. He leaves to cherish his memory, family, many friends, and his beloved dog Snick. He will be greatly missed, and as he always used to say “turn out the lights the party‘s over”!  Fly high Slammy.  Service will be for immediate family only.  Due to his love and compassion for animals, In Lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter.

“In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.”  Proverbs 12:28.
