Suzanne Gray Frady

Suzanne Gray (Su) Frady, 76 years old, passed away peacefully, due to natural causes, on August 14, 2023, surrounded by the love and presence of her treasured family.

Born in Clarksville, TN in 1946, Su spent her childhood years in Japan, Newfoundland, Michigan, and Tennessee.  She was the daughter of LTC Jerry C. Gray and Mary Jeanette Hutchison.  At the age of 9, she welcomed her sister Tina to the family and was a devoted sister for the rest of her life.  On June 16th, 1968,  she married Jimmy Frady, to whom she was a loving wife for the rest of his life.  Su loved being a mother, and enjoyed her years as a Girl Scout Leader and an active parent in the PTA at Alderman Elementary.  She taught Sunday School and was a Stephen Minister at West Market Street UMC in Greensboro.  She enjoyed Bible Study, Scrabble, reading, and Diet Coke.  One of Su’s favorite jobs was as the Lifesaver Candy rep in Guilford County.

Su is survived by her sister, Tina Gray; her daughter Shannon Farrar, and her husband John; her son Jason Frady and his wife Amy; and her 4 beloved grandchildren, Molly, August, James, and Leah. A private service will be held at a later date in Tennessee.
