Obituary

Sylvia Arnold Parker, 77, of Greensboro, NC, passed away on June 12, 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
She was born on November 22, 1945 to Earl J. Arnold and Violet V. Arnold in Abingdon, VA. She moved to Greensboro with her family in the late 1950’s and graduated high school at Southeast Guilford. She later moved to Washington State with her late husband, Tom Parker. She returned to Greensboro in the late 1990’s and worked diligently as a dedicated caregiver to many families in the area for more than 20 years. She was of Protestant faith.

She was predeceased by her dad, Earl J. Arnold, stepdad, Maurice Bass and husband, Tom Parker.

She is survived by daughters, Annette Parker of Colorado and Kim Parker of Illinois and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Violet Arnold Bass; sister, Christine Hasty; brothers, Johnny Arnold, David Arnold {Janet} and Danny Arnold {Wenda}, all of the Triad area.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Greenhaven Nursing Home, Hospice and Cone Palliative Care for their care and support of their loved one. 

In accordance with Sylvia’s wishes, there will be no service.
