Obituary

Timothy Richard Nanfito, 57, of Asheboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at his home.

Timothy and his wife Peggy moved to North Carolina from Washington State.  He worked as a sheet metal mechanic at Timco in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Timothy was quite the character who enjoyed people, having a good laugh and a cold beer.  He thought of everyone as a friend, no one was a stranger.  He lived life to the fullest and will be missed by many.

Per his request there will be no services.  Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.

    Jacob Nanfito says:
I love you dad. I was trying to find you -- I didn't even know you were sick. I wish I would've gotten to see you one last time, and let you know that I miss you. I do my best to make you proud.

    George Mason says:
"For man does not know his time.  Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them." (Ecclesiastes 9:12) "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. "  (Acts 24:15)

    Jacob Nanfito says:
Hello, I'm Tim's oldest son. My brother and I both loved our dad very much, but, sadly, we never got to know him well enough. He struggled with addiction, like so many do, and it created a wall between us that nobody knew how to break through. If any of his North Carolina friends or co-workers ever see this -- I'd really love to hear any recollections you may have to share: what he was like, what he talked about, what he enjoyed. Please -- even a couple sentences -- sent to my email: thewildcard7@yahoo.com would mean a lot. I'll share them with my brother, Lucas, and his two grandchildren. Thank you.

to the family that does not know us that have loved Tim over the years. We had some great times when we were younger. Your sister Cindy and i were great friends. we all hung together. Tim married my cousin Cheryl and had two beautiful boys Jacob and Lucas who both loved their father and always wanted to be a part of his life and share with him their accomplishments in their lives. Unfortunately Tim was not able to enjoy much time with his grandchildren or his sons that would have loved to be a part of his life. rest in peace brother luv u much.

    Lucas Nanfito says:
Tim , It's been more than a year since you passed and more than 14 years since I last saw you. I know you were sick , in more ways than you even realized , and I forgive you. That being said All I ever wanted was my dad. I just wanted to know you and touch you , hear you , and smell you. Instead I got nothing. People would tell me my whole life that you loved me and I know its true I just needed to hear it from you. I am working hard to heal and hope to one day post that I forgive you and love you. It hurts so bad not having you in my life and always has. I want you to know that the greatest gift you gave to me is the gift of seeking recovery.  I miss you  , your youngest son , Lucas
