Tonya Lynn Brewer was born January 30, 1971, in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Tonya received her formal education at Northeast Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tonya accepted Christ as her personal savior and was united with New Jerusalem Cathedral.

Tonya Carter Brewer departed this earthly life ever so sweetly on March 5, 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Carter Crisp and her father Willie Smith, Sr..

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories her daughter, LaToya Carter (Lamarius Davis); Brothers Lawrence Carter (Nanette), Willie Smith, Jr., (Karen); Sisters Uneda Foust (Harry Lee), Linda Williamson, & Denise Smith; one Aunt Betty Graves; Uncles Henry Carter (Sylvia), Norris Carter (Ruth), John Carter; a host of cousins, family and friends, her very special friend Lamont Pinnix .

A funeral service will be held 1:00PM, Monday, March 10, 2014, at Triad Cremation Society & Chapel. Visitation to be held from 12:30PM – 1:00PM. Professional services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.
