Obituary

Greensboro – Mrs. Virginia M. Comer, 73, peacefully ascended to meet her Lord on Sunday, September 14, while surrounded by her family.

She was a proud member of Gate City Church of God. She retired after 25 years with Moses Cone Hospital and 10 years with Wal-Mart.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 28 years, Bob, 5 daughters, Amy Pugh, Lillian Sheppard, Melissa Woodrum (Charlie), Sharon Batley (Tom), Danielle Hatfield (Brandon Pierce-Williams), 1 step-daughter, Reba H Duncan (Donnie), 2 step sons, Robert and Michael (Connie) Comer , 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

She was predeceased by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandchild.

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday at 6 pm at Gate City Church of God in Greensboro with Pastor Aaron Powers officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to a charity of your choice. Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Sociery & Chapel.
