Obituary

William James Harrison, Jr., "Jimmy" of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, and formerly of Greensboro, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on December 21, 2013. 

Jimmy enjoyed a long, successful career as a commercial construction estimator, serving as Vice President and Operations Manager for several companies. Jimmy was well-respected among his peers and often returned to work after retirement to help out his friends and colleagues. 

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, William James Harrison, Sr. And Grace Keener Harrison of Lenoir City, Tennessee. He is survived by his daughter, Dana Harrison Haynes (David) and son, James Channing Harrison "Chan" (Laura) and grandchildren, Brian, Bethany, Katie and Gracie, and several grand dogs and grand cats.
 
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Duke University Medical Center and High Point Regional Hospital for their top notch medical care.
 
A memorial service for family and friends will take place at a later date.  Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.
